Linked into your brilliant site via Mary Ann Watham, m. Thomas Millson. Her brother 'Robert Watham' (also Wattam/Whattam) is my great grandfather (mother's line).

He was known as Robert George, marriage and death certs show Robert George, but reg. at birth only as George (I have birth cert.!).Also he witnessed brother Thomas' 2nd wedding as 'George''

Doing a few cross-checks, but I can probably update the Wattam line to present day soon!

I am the son of Peter Trought (father Henry Trought. Peter married Susan Jackson (born 1944)on 2nd July 1966.
I was born 16th February 1968.
My sister Samantha was born 23rd Sept 1970.
My other sister Hannah was born 15th August 1980.
Samantha is now married to Peter Cochrane.
This may be helpful to update your records. There is more info available on request.

A little shock for you: Stella and Henry also had another son who was adopted as a baby. He kept Stella's surname Cheney, as he was born out of wedlock - and now lives in Brisbane Australia. He is also married and has children.

George and Barbara Berry were successful Poulterers in Grimsby from 1830s until mid 20th Century. George (b 1800) was originally a baker from Caistor (son of Stephen Berry). Barbara's surname was Smith and thanks to your site we now know that her Auntie (on her mother Charlotte's side was Barbara Bullock, later to be Barbara Haddelsey (wife of Robert Haddelsey of the George Inn in Caistor)and then Barbara Turner (wife of the Reverand Samuel Turner (Senior) of Caistor).

The letter in the Lincoln Archives, Tennyson Collection, from Barbara Berry to Mrs Rev Samuel Turner is therefore a letter from a niece to her aunt written somewhere between 1822 and 1828. An awesome discovery!
